When you first login to the EDS platform and select Inbox Tracker in your top navigation, you will be prompted to a Profile creation page. You can either clone another user’s existing workspace or create your own custom workspace. In this guide we will show you how to create your own workspace.
Step 1 - Name your profile & choose the domain(s) you want to track. Don’t overthink this step - you can make revisions and additional profiles later on.
Step 2 - Configure Blacklists. Allows you to set Primary and Secondary blacklists for Alerts. For example, if you want immediate alerts for spamhaus.org you would place that blacklist in the Primary category. You can configure a blacklist alert for Primary or Secondary blacklists and control their frequency in the Alerts section on the dashboard.
We recommend placing barracudacentral.org, spamhaus, org, and spamcop.net into the Primary category.
Step 3 - Download Seeds/Configure ISPs. Select the ISPs to view in your dashboard and include in your seed list. This is an account level setting and will be the same for all users. We recommend leaving all ISPs selected to have a broad view of all data that is available.
If seed testing is enabled on your account, click the "Download Seed List" icon or download the list in your dashboard under “Settings”. If you will not be distributing the seed list you can skip this step.
Step 4 - Campaign Identification. The default setting to organize campaigns is Subject/Date. If you have an alternate identifier, you can configure an “X-header” value to group campaign types together. See the X-header Tracking Guide for more information. This is an account level setting.
Step 5 - Configure Account IPs. This is an account level setting. We will automatically detect your sending IPs based on the email traffic from your sending domains. Those IPs will appear in the likely IP section. You may customize this by creating static groups of IPs. As you add or remove IPs from your sending infrastructure, you must make those changes in your IP groups as well.
Step 6 - Configure Alerts. See our Delivery Alerts Set Up Guide for a list of useful Alerts that you can add to your workspace. You can edit or update your Alerts at any time.
Now you are ready to enter Inbox Tracker!
Create as many profiles as you want with differing domains, ISP weightings, etc. Just click the pencil icon to go to the profile creation page.
